Removals and Storage Insurance

MetroMovers are authorised representatives of Aldridge & Street who are the preferred licenced Removals Insurance Brokers of AFRA, the Australian Furniture Removals Association.

We can arrange cover for you for A) when your goods are in transit or B) full insurance which covers the entire loading and unloading and transit stages or C) while your goods are in storage with us.

Step 1. Quotes:

(All prices below include GST)

A) Removals Transit Insurance - Restricted cover

Damage to goods in transit in the case of the truck overturning, catching fire or involved in a collision (see documents below for full policy details)

Quotes:

$25 for cover up to $49,999.00 value of goods

$50 for cover between $50,000.00 and $100,000.00 value of goods

($250 excess applies for any total claim)

B) Removals Transit Insurance - Full cover

Damage to goods during loading, transit and unloading stages ( see documents below for full policy details)

Quotes:

$120 for cover up to $9,999.00 value of goods

$230 for cover between $10,000.00 and $24,999.00 value of goods

$450 cover for between $25,000.00 and $49,999.00 value of goods

$790 for cover between $50,000.00 and $80,000.00 value of goods

($250 excess applies for any total claim)

C) Storage insurance

Damage to goods while in MetroMovers storage facility due to flood, fire or theft (see documents below for full policy details)

$20 per month for cover up to $9,999.00 value of goods

$40 per month for cover between $10,000.00 and $24,999.00 value of goods

$60 per month for cover between $25,000.00 and $49,999.00 value of goods

$90 per month for cover between $50,000.00 and $80,000.00 value of goods

($250 excess applies for any total claim)
